  • Why is dtac’s 5G speed so low compared to AIS and True?
The Internet speed depends on the band in service. dtac is currently deploying 5G use cases on high band (26 GHz) with ultra-high speed, 5G-ready Massive (MIMO) for mid band. Today 5G on low band (700 MHz) is currently available for service which greatly improves coverage across Thailand as one of the commitments to offer "high-speed connectivity for all".
  • But can dtac compete with AIS and True’s 5G offerings on mid-band spectrum?
With our extensive rollout of 5G-ready Massive MIMO technology and over 20,000 TDD sites in 2020 using mid-band spectrum, we have been able to offer the highest download speed in Thailand. We are confident that our combination of low-, mid- and high-band spectrum is sufficient to offer “high-speed connectivity for all”.
  • When will dtac launch 5G which is comparable to AIS and True?
dtac is committed to provide "high-speed data experience for all". We place high emphasis on providing services on 5G, compatible mobile devices and accessories at reasonable price ranges, and new use cases for customers. 5G will be with us in a long run like a marathon run, not just a quick sprint.
  • Does the stronger frequency impact the brain?
