dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB service information for customers

dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB service is the wireless service to access internet network with Wireless LAN technology (generally called as “Wi-Fi”) via service spots in public areas, communities or certain business areas. Customers who have smartphone mobile devices can request for connection service from Service Provider. dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB service is the service in junction between dtac Broadband Co. Ltd (or DBB) and TripleT Internet Co. Ltd (or 3BB) for the provider of mobile network Total Access Communication Co. Ltd (Public) and dtac TriNet Co. Ltd (together called as “dtac”) to facilitate the connection to internet network.

  1. Request for service protocol
    Under the service of dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB, customers are responsible to study service information before service usage requests. Customers must also strictly use dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB service under legal protocol, service contract agreement, and any other policy, laws and standards determined from authorized legal agents.
  1. The service of dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB are the service in junction from dtac Broadband Co. Ltd and Total Access Communication Co. Ltd (Public) which will have usage service charges collection according to type and rates that DBB and/or 3BB determined. The charges will be collected via dtac unless in case of sales promotion activities which may result in lower or waived charges on partial or total service charges according to Service Provider’s determination inn each time period.
  1. The determination of internet network connection service points or usage passwords depend on Service Provider. Customers are responsible to keep such information private and secured. In case of wrongful usage from others who became aware of such information, customers will be responsible to all legal complications. Service Provider is not involved, support or willing for such illegal actions to happen in all cases. Service Provider also reserves the right to exercise highest legal actions against customers who commit illegal usage or usage that violates terms and conditions.
  1. Service Provider reserves the right to change, adjust, suspend or terminate service usage, service types, service charges, service coverage spots and areas.
  1. Quality and standard of service and service coverage areas of dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB may have temporarily challenges or limited from technology, service policies, quantity of service usage, devices’ capability, including quality and standard of destination internet network.
  1. Once customers express interests for service usage and Service Provider approves the request by providing usage password to customers, it is considered that customers have studied and acknowledged terms and conditions or service usage contract agreement in completion and willing to act and comply according to service usage contract agreement from the date of Service Provider approval until the termination of services.
  1. Customers can apply for the service usage via the following channels;
    • 1678 dtac call center (3 THB service charge, VAT inclusive)
    • dtac customer service center
    • dtac center
    • Automated reply system call *1044 (no service fee, for individual customers only)
    • Express service  (no service fee, for individual customers only)
  1. Password setting
    • For new and current Postpaid customers using dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB services will receive username and password for service usage
    • In case of forgotten password of dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB, customers can receive the new password by calling *4000# for Thai and *4000*9# for English (no service charge) or contact 1678 dta ccall center (3 THB service charge, VAT inclusive)
    • It is customers’ responsibility to keep username and password details secret and prevent damage that might result from wrongful dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB usage
    • Usage
      • When customers do not log out or no continuous usage for more than 30 minutes on dtac wifi or 15 minutes on dtac wifi 3BB, the system will automatically log you out. If customers wish to continue the usage, customers need to connect the signal once again.
    • For concurrent users of dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB signal connection, there will be only 1 user per dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB usage time.
    • Customers can use dtac wifi service from @ dtac wifi signal. For dtac wifi 3BB, customers can use signals from @ 3BB_dtac_wifi, @ 3BB_WiFi and cyberpoint in designated service area. Customers can check for usage coverage areas at www.dtac.co.th/wifi or call 1678 dtac call center (3 THB service charge, VAT inclusive)
    • Note: cyberpoint signal can be used for 2 hours per usage time.
  1. Terms and conditions
    • Customers shall not share dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB services received from the Company for others to use or commit actions that may affect social or national security and order, in conflicts of social moral codes, laws and orders or create damages to any individuals. 
    • Service Provider is not responsible for any damage from dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB customer usage and actions via telecommunication network, either customers are doing such acts by themselves or in junction with others.
    • during service providing period
      • The system will terminate connection of dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB (session time out) for every 360 minutes and 24 hours accordingly to check and record usage amount. Customers can reconnect if wish to continue the service usage after session time out.
    • The data transmission on internet Wi-Fi technology is the service that Service Provider brings for convenience of customers within Network which may have limitations in certain areas or time periods. The speed of internet Wi-Fi technology usage depends on service coverage area, the amount of customers using service, connecting devices and devices settings. This means that each service may not be the continuous and maximum speed of service. Devices movement may also temporarily affect data transmission and technology. Customers are encouraged to study complete information of usage details.

Under the privilege of internet Wi-Fi technology usage service

  1. Customers must agree to terms and conditions which may change at any time. It is customers’ responsibility to periodically check for such changes from website or contact dtac customer service centers nationwide for updated information.
  1. Service Provider will determine the usage privilege of internet Wi-Fi technology for each type for Network management efficiency and facilitation of customers communication for each time period. This may result in transmission speed limitation for Bit Torrent or file download and upload or other usages that involve large amount of data transmission.
  1. Service Provider reserves the right to manage amount and speed of data transmission or internet service system log-in for fair, equal and efficient telecommunication network management.
  1. Privilege for usage of internet Wi-Fi technology is according to the amount that customers received from each promotion packages. This includes both in- and out-of-area dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB service coverage areas.
  1.  Service Provider does not encourage or involve in unlawful usage of internet Wi-Fi technology or usage manners that violate service conditions. If found or being filed for complaint, Service Provider reserves the right to suspend the usage without prior notices.
  1. Quality of usage on internet Wi-Fi technology may reduce or not being able to use the service depend on usage area and usage locations of internet Wi-Fi technology.
  1. Speed of transmission usage on internet Wi-Fi technology depends on various factors such as device condition, signal strength and density of internet network including servers of visited websites and many other factors.
  1. Service Provider has adequate security protocol for usage on internet Wi-Fi technology. However, it is strongly advised for customers to practice personal security protocols with care for safety of machines or Bluetooth devices from intruders or viruses.
  1. Service Provider reserves the right to not be responsible for data loss or damage due to speed, transmission problem or log-in failure.
  1. Service Provider reserves the right to not be responsible for dangerous content download. It is sole responsibility of customers to be certain on internet download security issue.
  1. Service Provider reserves the right to not be responsible for leakage of confidential information storing in the system or transferring via internet network.
  1. The privilege of dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB services mentioned above is not exchangeable, cash refundable or transferrable to others.
  1. Service Provider reserves the right to adjust, change, suspend or cancel dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB services if Service Provider finds that there is a misuse of dtac wifi and dtac wifi 3BB services in unlawful profit-seeking manners according to Service Provider’s consideration.

Terms and conditions for service usage request

    • dtac wifi 3BB unlimited package 99 THB/ month for monthly service payment can be used for 12 months (can be used in service area of dtac wifi and 3BB wifi)
dtac wifi VAS is wireless service for internet Network access via Wireless LAN technology (commonly called wifi) with public or community access spots. Customers with smartphone that supports wifi access can request service access from Service Provider. dtac wifi VAS is the joint service between dtac Broadband Co. Ltd (DBB) and Total Access Communication PLC (dtac) for customers’ convenience to access internet Network.
  1. Service application terms and conditions
    Customers must study dtac wifi terms and conditions details in full before service application and must be strictly under usage legal and protocols.
  2. dtac wifi VAS is the joint service between dtac Broadband Co. Ltd (DBB) and Total Access Communication PLC (dtac). Service fees of dtac wifi will be collected per DBB’s requirement via dtac service fee collection, except in the case of sales promotion inwhich service fees could be discounted or waived depending on each time period.
  3. Service Provider reserves the right to determine internet service area locations and access passwords. Customers are responsible to keep all those information confidential. Customers acknowledge that Service Provider is not related or encouraged all illegal activities – whether they are actions from customers or others in case of information theft. Service Provider reserves the right to exercise legal actions against customers who violate service usage terms and conditions.
  4. Service Provider reserves the right to adjust, fix, add, suspend or cancel the service, service types, service fees, service locations and service coverage areas.
  5. There might be certain quality and standard of service issues, coverage and service area location issues of dtac wifi resulting from technology limitation, service policies, amount and numbers of customers, devices’ capabilities and internet Network quality.
  6. Once Service Provider grants usage approval by issuing password for customers, it is considered that customers already studied and accepted all service usage terms and conditions and are willing to comply to all usage terms until the legal date of service termination and cancellaion.
  7. Customers can apply for the service via the following channels;
    • 1678 dtac call centers (3 THB per call including VAT 7%)

    • dtac centers
    • Automated reply system call *1004 (free of charge and for individual customers only)
    • Express service (free of charge and for individual customers only)
  8. Password settings
    • Current and new Postpaid dtac wifi customers will receive username and password settings for service usage.
    • For forgotten dtac wifi password, customers can request for new password at *4000# for Thai and *4000*9# for English (free of charge) or contact 1678 dtac call centers (3 THB per call including VAT 7%).
    • It is customers’ responsibility to protect username and password against damage from wifi theft usage.
    • The system will automatically log out for absent dtac wifi usage for consecutive 30 minutes. Customers must log in again for next service usage.
    • Only 1 concurrent users for dtac wifi connection is allowed per each internet wifi usage.
    • Customers can use dtac wifi service with the signal of @dtacwifi in service area locations. Check for service area locations at www.dtac.co.th/wifi or contact 1678 dtac call centers (3 THB per call including VAT 7%).
  9. Limitation of rights
    • Customers will not provide dtac wifi service for other individuals to use or service or act on activities that could potentially create social or national disorder and damages, in conflict of social orders and morals, in conflicts of laws, or create personal damages to others.
    • Service Provider is not responsible for any damage resulting from customers’ dtac wifi usage and/or actions via telecommunication Network whether it is individual or collaborative actions from customers.
    • The system will automatically disconnect dtac wifif service and internet Network every 360 minutes (session time out) for internal checking and usage amount recording. Customers must log in again for another dtac wifi service usage.
    • dtac wifi internet service is brought by Service Provider for convenience of Network customers. The service may have some limitations in certain locations or certain periods of time. The speed of wifi technology usage depends on service area, number of service users, connecting devices and the settings of devices, which means each time service is not always with the continuous maximum speed. The movement of connecting devices might also temporarily affect data transmission and data transmission technology. Customers are encouraged to study usage instructions in full details.

Under the privilege of wifi internet technology VAS
  1. Customers must agree to the Terms and Conditions of Use, which may change at any time. It is customers’ responsibility to periodically check for such changes from dtac website or nationwide dtac customer centers.
  2. Service Provider reserves the right to manage the volume and speed of data transmission, log-in or connection to the wifi internet service, Bit Torrent usage, or big files downloading or uploading for fairness, equality and efficiency of telecommunication networks management.
  3. Service Provider reserves the right to manage the volume and speed of data transmission, log-in or connection to the internet service for fairness, equality and efficiency of telecommunication networks management.
  4. The right to use internet wifi technology will be based on the number of privileged customers, including all services in and outside of service area.
  5. Service Provider does not encourage or is related to the case of customers using dtac wifi services in violation of laws or terms of service in any form. If Service Provider finds out or has received complaints on such actions, the Service Provider reserves the right to immediately terminate service provided without prior notice.
  6. dtac wifi service may drop or be suspended in the service area locations that are not appropriate for signal reception.
  7. dtac wifi connection speed depends on a number of external factors such as device’s quality, internet network density, visited website servers and other factors.
  8. Service Provider has installed appropriate safety system for dtac wifi. However customers must also be careful or exercise personal safety precautions for usage or mobile devices safety from theft or viruses.
  9. Service Provider reserves the right of responsibility for data loss or damages resulting from system access delay, data transmission disrupt or system access failure.
  10. Service Provider reserves the right of responsibility for harmful data or content downloading from the internet. Customers must solely bear the responsibility of ensuring data safety and trusted downloading sources.
  11. Service Provider reserves the right of responsibility for confidential data leakage that stored or transferred via internet network.
  12. Aforementioned dtac wifi privilege is not refundable or for cash transfer or transfer to others.
  13. Service Provider reserves the right to adjust, suspend or cancel dtac wifi service as deem appropriate if found that there is the use for commercial purpose or access internet in the manners that are in conflicts of law.

    • dtac wifi unlimited package is 69 THB/ month, valid for 12 months.
  • For registered Postpaid corporate customers
    • dtac wifi unlimited package is 69 THB/ month, valid for 12 months.
  • For Prepaid customers
    • dtac wifi 1 hour 1 day package is 19 THB, valid until midnight of application date. No automatic service renewal.
    • dtac wifi unlimited 1 day package is 39 THB, valid until midnight of application date. No automatic service renewal.
    • dtac wifi unlimited package is 69 THB/ month, valid for 12 months.
Promotion Privilege Terms and Conditions
  • Customers can apply for each promotion privilege according to Service Provider’s requirement. Customers must always be responsible for the study of terms and conditions especially for usage abroad. There could be certain services or international Networks usages that calculate service fees differently than domestic Service Providers. Customers will be responsible for the fees collected by foreign Service Providers.
  • Customers can reapply for the service with mandatory service reapplication fee per Service Provider’s requirement.
  • Service fee rates above exclude normal mobile phone service fees, SMS and MMS services, downloading fees via each Service Provider, news service, international calls and roaming services, and other VAS services. Customers must study terms and conditions of each Service Provider in full details before all service applications.
  • Service rate fees above are excluded of VAT 7%.
  • dtac wifi package with time used type will start calculate usage service from first time success ditac wifi login. When reach usage limit, the system will automatically suspend the usage service.
  • Customers will receive successful application confirmation SMS to activate and use dtac wifi services.
