dtac confident in completing feasibility study and approval process of 900 MHz auction within NBTC’s submission timeline

October 8, 2018 – dtac welcomes the flexibility given by the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) to extend the submission timeline for 900 MHz spectrum bid applications to October 16, 2018, in the event there is no bid application on October 9. dtac will therefore use the full timeline to continue its feasibility study. The study will be submitted to the Board of Directors for approval, as per dtac’s internal process and governance procedures. dtac is confident that all necessary steps will be completed, for dtac to take the final decision, within the NBTC’s submission deadline of October 16, 2018.

Mr. Rajiv Bawa, Chief Corporate Affairs and Business Development Officer, Total Access Communication PLC or dtac said, “We are in the process of a comprehensive feasibility study of the criteria and procedures for the license. This ensures that our final decision benefits all stakeholders, including shareholders, customers, and employees in the long term. Our process is key to maintaining the company’s competitive edge and long-term business value. dtac wishes to thank NBTC for their understanding and support with this process.”
